TARA

Origin: Irish/Gaelic Meaning: Rocky hill. Tara is the name of the plantation in the movie classic Gone with the Wind (r. 1939). It is based on the novel of the same name (p. 1936) by Margaret Mitchell (1900-1949). The movie starred Vivien Leigh (1913-1967) and Clark Gable (1901-1960).
